Miao Bin Si - Numéro China 2012

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, the company I work for just closed down and I have been looking for a new job, plus the Olympics are on and that along with my search for Olympic tickets is keeping me very busy.

I saw this editorial titled 'transmission' for the August 2012 issue of Numéro China featuring model Miao Bin Si and I thought it was really cool. It was shot by Txema Yeste and styled by Tim Lim. The pictures are beautiful and I had to share them enjoy!!!

Look Back - Betsey Johnson Spring/Summer 2008 RTW

I like designers who are out there and very original in terms of what they bring to the design world and I think Betsey Johnson is one of those original designer. This collection makes me smile when I see it, so I thought it would be great for this edition of 'Look Back'.

Designer: Betsey Johnson

My Top Four Looks From The Collection:

(Flavia Lucini & Ines Crnokrak)

(Lydia Hearst & Yulia)

Betsey Johnson is just incredible to me. I love her because she never tries to be anything but herself. No one else could have done this fashion show and made me love it the way she did. This show was all about prom and I like how she looked at prom from the Fifties to the present, which was 2007 at the time. The looks were grouped by decade and each decade had its own song from the same time. I thought the pieces were cute and whimsical, which is what Betsey is all about. And of course she ended with the famous Betsey cartwheel. Here is the full show. Enjoy!!!

One of the moments that I felt Melissa really stood out to me was when I saw her editorial in the April 2010 issue of Vogue Italia. The pictures were great they were almost like paintings, I just kept staring at them. I think that is what’s great about Melissa she makes you focus and take notice, which is great for the client.

Look Back - Sonia Rykiel Spring/Summer 2009 RTW

This collection is always in my mind. Whenever I think of Sonia Rykiel this is what I think of, so for this edition of 'Look Back' I will be looking at the Sonia Rykiel Spring/Summer 2009 RTW

Designer: Sonia Rykiel

My Top Four Looks From The Collection:

(Snejana Onopka & Natasha Poly)

(Lera Sheremata & Bette Franke)

This collection featured plenty of Rykiel's signatures like cardigans, and sweater dresses which were great, I also loved the pop-art daisy-print chiffon used for the seventies style dresses, but what really made this show great for me was the models. I liked the way they sashayed down the runway and the little procession they had at the end. It was so cute and fun and made the show memorable. Here is the full show. Enjoy!!!

Karmen Pedaru & Simon Nessman - Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2012 Campaign

I love Simon Nessman he is one of my favourite male models, he is joined by model Karmen Pedaru for the Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2012 Campaign. Mario Testino was the photographer and I think the pictures are gorgeous. Both models look so great and they work really well together.

Born on November 23, 1987 in Poland, Kasia was discovered in 2005 by a local talent scout. She has gone on to appear on the cover of ELLE France, Harper's Bazaar Spain, Numéro Tokoyo, Spanish, Italian & Korean Vogue & W Korea. She has also appeared in editorials for American, Chinese, German, French & Russian Vogue, French Numéro, V, & Viva! Moda & in ads for Alberta Ferretti, Bottega Veneta, Chloe, Gucci, Miu Miu, Mulberry & Moschino.

(Fashion Magazine Fall/Winter 2010Seth Sabal - Photographer, Jamie Grace - Stylist)

The thing I like the most about Kasia is she is a very original beauty. I have not really seen anyone who looks like her. You may find models with similar features like her amazing jawline and cheekbones, but her look is so original. She truly is stunning and has the ability to give so many looks in her photos.

(American Vogue January 2010: David Sims - Photographer, Tonne Goodman - Fashion Editor/Stylist)

The photo shoot that I first noticed Kasia was the October 2009 issue of Harper's Bazaar. It was a really simple shoot, but it really stuck in my head and that’s how I knew she was a really good model. For like a week after a I saw those pictures I just could not get them out of my head, and I think that is something that’s really good about Kasia, she is able to engage you with even the simplest of shots.
